Nainital was our first stop in India. After driving for more than 8 hours in the scorching heat of Uttar Pradesh state, we arrived in the cool Himalayan climate of Nainital. This deer is typical for the Himalayas. Unfortunately, we didn't see nor hear one in the wild. This one lives in the high-altitude zoo in Nainital.
