Hello, namaste, asalaam malequum, we at last saw the Taj Mahal, this morning at 6 am. The people here have been waiting for the monsoon and the heat to break, and it hit just in time for us at 6 in the morning underneath the grand marble tomb built all for love. It was wonderful to view the Taj with only a few indians, umbrellas and total downpour, hard for pictures, but soaked we walked around and admired the amazing work it took to build. We'll have a few pictures when were not on dial up. We had to haggle our way out of town, but made it out, unharmed, and had another harrowing car journey, stopping at an impressive national park and bird sanctuary, seeing giant turtles, gazelles, foxes and jackals, and perhaps the most impressive were the increasing number of huge camels on the road to Jaipur. So, we're here in Jaipur about to go out for dinner, and staying at the lovely Shahar Palace, home of Ms. Singh and Colonel Virender Singh, with flocks of parrots, a peacock, and a shiatsu. Looking forward to seeing the pink city tomorrow. We're feeling well, having a wild time, amidst the beauty and the garbage, ah India.
PS. We're happy that Aunt Lynn is doing well in recovery. Thanks for the well wishes. Wishing you all the best, maybe another entry by the end of the road. Love, Kevin n Kara
