Loasa these cheeky lil things about! Check out the long tail!
Heloo there everyone!

Have finally found another computer + internet combo!!!heehee 😊

OK - so update so far...when we left you last we were about to go looking for tigers....but it turned out the tigers were not interested in looking for us and were nowhere to be found 😞

We went around the massive Ranthambore National park in jeeps, and it was absolutley beautiful. Cant think of a better way to spend a warm afternoon than driving around forests and lakes looking at the wildlife and enjoying the peace and quiet after the craziness of Delhi and Jaipur!

So no tigers, but we still saw plenty of deer, antelope, crocodiles, jackals and tons of monkeys!!! So all was not lost. There were tiger pawprints in the mud too...but they had obviously all gone into hiding.

After several showers to get rid of all the dust from our safari, we journeyed on to stay in a maharajahs hunting lodge. Built in the 1930s it was kinda wierd to see art deco in an Indian stylee, but it was very cool and the food was good, but more curry im afraid!

After a bit of chilling and

Never seen a real one of these before!
more visits to temples and palaces in the area, we moved on to Agra - home of the Taj Mahal.

So we got up at 6.30 this morning to go see the Taj. Its really beautiful and looks just like it does in all the guidebooks - white and stunning. The whole thing is built from marble and reflects the sunlight so it kinda glows. Very impressive, but by the time we left it was getting very crowded. Glad we got up early for it, even if it means we both look a bit bleary eyed in the photos!
We had a bit of trouble downloading the photos so for those of you who are thinking we went all the way to the Taj Mahal and only took one photo, you are wrong! We just struggled with the frustratingly slow internet connectiond in India! So more Taj photos are on the way!

So now we have a free afternoon and Rozi is trying to resist buying lots of pretty things in the bazaars... this evening we are embarking on another interesting experience...the overnight sleeper train to Varanasi, a holy city on the Ganges.

But for the moment we'll say goodbye - we've found a pizza hut to go to!!! Wonder if they'll have curry pizza?

loads of love,

Rozi and Steve
