Hi everyone! Well after our trip around Rajashtan, took the car to Agra (though we weren't planning to travel there by car), it's our last stop. Yep, Agra, the home of the famous Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world. Naturally, we visited the Taj on our first day in Agra and of course spent the whole day there. I know everyone says the Taj is overrated but truthfully, from the words of an experienced traveller (ahem, me), it's not really. In fact it's beautiful! We have so many pictures of it, so I tried to pick the best one. It was built in the 1600's by Shah Jahan, the grandson of the great king Akbar. Shah Jahan built it for his wife who sadly died while in childbirth with their thirteenth child. The purpose of the Taj was as a place where Shah Jahan and his wife would be buried together, when Shah Jahan died. And of course the two are still in the basement.
We are now in Delhi, and we're here for three days and then after two months in India, we finally move on to Japan ! Today's our second day,
but we didn't do all that much yesterday, just gift shopping and spending almost an hour trying to find a restaurant that turned out to be way too expensive. Today we went for a walk in a place called The Lodi Gardens, and are now just hanging around in this claustrophobic Internet Cafe. More soon! From Alia
