A pity you didn't like the north-east.
I guess it happens, and everybody experiences are different. I had a great time in the northeast myself, and that was when permits were still in full force! At least it is good news to hear that most of the permits have been abandoned by the Indian government, it means I can finally go to Manipur the only state I missed last time.
