Getting closer to the nature has a rejuvenating effect on people and in today’s world the need to get oneself renewed, on regular intervals, has increased. The Mother Nature has so many treasures in her trove that even a life solely devoted to uncover them is not enough. The creation can’t compete with the creator; hence what one can do is to grab every opportunity to immerse oneself in the bottomless sea of nature’s beauty.
Along with rejuvenation, nature can also offer adventure. There are plenty of adventure activities to seek both thrill and energy as generally every adventure activity has a calming and refreshing effect on an individual after the initial surge of the adrenaline. Among all the thrilling adventures, trekking is counted as one of the best ways to discover a region as well as exploring the inner depths of one’s own self. It is also a great way to spend time with one’s loved ones and strengthen the bond.
India has been blessed with the presence of the great Himalayas, which in addition to its vital contribution to the ecology also contribute towards quenching the thirst of both adventure and nature lovers. Mentioned below are
some of the best treks in the Himalayan range of mountains:
1: Trans-Zanskar Expedition Zanskar (located in Ladakh) is a fascinating high-altitude arid area where summers are pleasant and winters pose a challenge with the heavy snowfall marking every inch of the land. Walking by the rivers, through the rocky paths, sometimes passing through streams of water, climbing up the mountains, treading over the plateaus, one would come across the serenity and holiness of ancient monasteries and the remote villages, which still hold on to the old ways of life, giving an otherworldly appeal to the whole atmosphere.
2: Stok Kangri Expedition Stok Kangri, standing at an altitude of 20,182 feet, is the tallest mountain in the Himalayan Stok range and is counted among one of the most challenging treks of Ladakh. culture of Sikkim through its former capital Yuksom (from where it begins). Moving from the dense forests (of spruces, rhododendron, pine, magnolia and chestnut),
gazing at the mesmerizing peaks, traversing beautiful meadows, one would reach the mountain pass of Goecha La and witness another delight of the trail, which comes in the form of pristine blue Samiti Lake. And Goecha La pass will also present a truly magnificent view of the south side of the splendid Mt. Kanchenjunga.
