07.00 Hours Wednesday 21 March

The photo of the meal is what the guesthouse owner cooked as her daughter and son in law were coming so I got the same it was awesome.

Up early again as I wanted to go a place called Deeg some 20 miles away.

I take a rick into town. You can take a bus to Deeg and there are also “private” jeeps.

So I go with the jeep for 25 rups.

I went all round the world to get to Deeg and at one time there were 21 of us onboard.

Its barebones and it is like a pilchard tin with an engine but you get what you pay for. I thought it was bad but on the way back we had 23 in the jeep.

Deeg is famous for its water palace. Ok any one can make a mistake it has not rained in Deeg since last September. Still nice palace but awful dusty town.

Do not linger as I have to be back to check out.

Off to the TOUT capital of Asia, Agra this afternoon. The Taj in the morning and then a night train to Varanasi.

Ultra busy couple of days so will need be awake all the time as Agra is tough.

Ten Days, five trains and 2,300 miles, to the far frontiers of India's railtracks! Bypassing big cities to visit regions barely touched by tourism. An article from the Travel section of the Telegraph that I paid £2 for when this site is free, rather than read it I sent the author a link to your blog instead.
