Arrived in the warmth and the blue skies of Udaipur after leaving the foggy environment of Delhi. Udaipur has been described as a fairy-tale city with its marble palaces and lakes surrounded by a ring of hills. Experienced the delights of the city by visiting a Hindu temple (shoes off) where the congregation were in full swing with a rendering of verse and song. Then on to the glorious City Palace which appeared to be the destination for many of the ''locals'' who were enjoying a holiday. The City Palace is the largest in Rajasthan and is in fact a complex of several palaces built between 16th and 20 th century and stretching along the shore of Lake Pichola. Well, those colours! England is short of bright colours at this time of year, so it's lovely to see them, and the sunshine. Your trip sounds fab and reminds me of my son Bryan's photos when he went there for part of his gap year. Your photos are great.
