January 30… I felt much better this morning after getting such a good rest. A morning transfer to the temple town of Khajuraho was arranged – the 5 hour car ride through mostly farming towns was quite enjoyable. Khajuraho is a bustling place, and Caroline, our Irish travel mate, was thrilled to see the first real coffee shop in days right across from the hotel. Masala chai, not coffee, reigns ... Travel News
Dog bites and injuries notwithstanding, it sounds like the past few days were wonderful. Have you ever considered retiring from your current type of employment and becoming a "World wide tour guide". Your narrative gives such a great insight as to what you are experiencing that it almost feels like being right there!!! I'm enjoying your trip immensely!! lol!

dog bite
So glad to hear you're ok. Jordan got bit by a dog in South Africa, so anytime after that, when we would see a pack of dogs near by, we would quickly gather a couple of rocks, just in case.

Yes, I have to admit I'm skittish but hopefully it will pass with time. Wounds are healing well.

India so much fun
Hi Marilyn, As you know our favourite travel place. The smells, noise, colour chaos all with mostly friendly smiling faces. What more could you want. We remember the great coffee shop and also bought a book there. We camped just outside the town near a river. The carvings are amazing including some which you will have noticed have been recycled sometimes up side down as foundation blocks ! One of our sons is married to an Indian girl from Patiala in the Punjab. They were for some years at the Aust. High Commission in Delhi so we had many trips to India including a full circuit with Drago. You are obviously enjoying it also. AAAAAAAAAhhhhh India
