My desire to do voluntary work in India brought me back to Jaipur, where I had arranged to spend one month teaching English at Ladli. Aunty in the kitchen
This fabulous lady made all the meals and served chai to the staff, volunteers and visitors.
Children at shop
Every day as I walked to and from Ladli many children would wave and shout hi / bye. On my last day I took a photo of them when I was leaving.

They were particularly enthusiastic at calling to us!
The chai stand family
This wonderful family ran a chai stand at the entrance to the lane I walked down to reach Ladli. I would often stop to buy a plastic cup full of chai for 3 rupees. They could not speak English and I could not speak Hindi, bar a few words, but we always managed to communicate.
