Chill day today. Lie in. Bit of reading. For those interested, no sign of Delhi-belly yet. Stools quite firm and well-formed. We're being quite fastidious though (cook it, peel it or f*ck it).

Anyway, turns out our hotel is just down the road from where Gandhi was shot. There's a museum there now so we wandered down for a look. There's a memorial of his last footsteps to the very spot he was killed. Very moving.

On one of his visits to England, Gandhi was asked what he thought of Western civilisation. "I think it's a good idea" he replied. What a great man.

Tomorrow we move on to Varanasi (Benares), India's oldest city and the holy city of Shiva. Bring it on.
