We arrived in New Delhi this morning!
I started reading 'Are you Experienced' ( thanks Annie!) on the plane and after everyone warning me i was mentally preparing myself for the chaos at New Delhi Airport. Not the case, immigration was swift and efficient as was the collection of our bags. Raj from the hotel had sent someone to collect us - so no problems there. We were amazed though at how he ( and all the other drivers in Delhi) managed to make 5 lanes of traffic when there is clearly only space for 3, well - nothing is impossible here!
I have, not surprisingly, already made it to the shops, we had a nap got up and took a rickshaw to the State Emporiums, I have been having dreams of this perfect leather hadbag and I saw this lady in a beautiful Shalwar Kameeze (spelt incorrectly apologies) on the plane- I'm on the look out for that too. I have not bought a thing though- simply because i can't face putting anything else in my backpack!
The flight took a lot out of us, can't beleive we have another 21 to take in the next six months, at least they won't all be as long. Our dinner/lunch consisted on a southern Chicken baguette from Subway, yes the Subway, can you believe it - I'm in India eating subway sandwiches! Terrible I know, I am working my way towards the cuisine, I can't wait, everything looks so delicious!
We have arranged a tour of Old/New Delhi for tomorrow, with our own driver, we are certainly living it up! Organised a tour of the Taj Mahal and surronding areas for the weekend- looking forward to that TOO.
New entry will probably be on Monday/Tuesday when we arrrive in Goa!

Hi Hun
Glad you both arrive safe and sound in your Slipper and Socks (Cannot honestly believe you actually wore sock/slipper) You are one crazy, crazy girl but I do LOVE you no matter what.
How is it going? Have you both tried any fancy CURRY yet? What about the Shopping? I know you cannot keep away from the shops. God help India. Hopefully we will speak on the weekend.
Take care and I will speak to you laters.
Love you lots
