Hi everyone, bet you're glad to hear from us??!!
Well we finally made it - so far so good. Managed to get a free upgrade on the plane with champagne, adjustable seats and loads of leg room!!! which was good to kick start things. The ride from the Airport was manic cars everywhere people everywhere!!!
Our taxi driver found the hotel we chose easy enough and we decided to treat ourselves with A/C.
Yesterday we went to see The Gateway of India which unfortunalty is under repair but you could still see its beauty and in the evening we decided we just had to see a Bollywood flick, quite an experience, we had to stand up at the start to sing the national anthem.....unfortunately jet lag got the better of us and when we caught each others heads dropping as we fell to sleep for the umpteenth time, we decided we couldn't last for another 3hours and had to leave!
We've booked into the Red-cross hostel for the next 2 nights, where we've decided to go for dormitories (seperate for men and women...eeek!) and are about to head over to Chowpatty Beach where we will watch the sun set and chill.
Spending 1 or 2 more days here (bit pricey in comparison to rest of india) and then we'll be on the move again - not sure where to yet though!!
We'll keep you posted, but until then, try not to worry!!!
