Gateway of India, deux soirées à
Not just Jazz by the Bay, une bière au café Léopold, quelque musée, une pièce de théatre
And It's Goodye Mumbai! Tada India!... ANGLAIS
India bade us bon voyage with a light smorgasbord of entertainments while some people had their dirty linen washed in public. We spent our first night watching local rockers rehashing soft rock classics. The band were a troupe of geeks who'd swapped their short sleeved shirt and tie combos for black jeans. For the most part they seemed too lost in thoughts about war hammer to finger their instruments with any enthusiasm but the singer gave his all by screaming and dry humping the mic stand and the speakers.
Another evening found us
on "Chapatti" beach by night, wandering the stalls and sand based entertainments followed by cocktails in a slick lounge-bar. On our last night we went to the Desi version of the Vagina monologues which was alternately funny and disturbing and where it was ok to shout c&^t, c&*t, c%$t, c#@t, c&$t as loud as you could!
Overall a fairly cosmopolitan ending to the dizzying riot of people, places and situations that was India.
And so, namaste India and hello Africa....Kenya here we come!
