Fort Cochin - What a culture shock!

Hey guys so my first blog on my first day, so much 2 talk about already! Cochin as absolutely mental but first got to toalk about the flight over here! The flight from Heathrow to Doha was absolutely amazing, me and Jay coulnd't believe our luck!we had a scree for each seat and a choice of over 100 movies and tv shows 2 watch, it was cool! that 7 hours flew by....get it?!?!?! yes! so then we got on the flight from doha to cochin, it was good until the landing, it took ages and I'm ussually really good on planes but it realy freaked me and Jay out, the plane was all over thge place!was so thankful when landed!

SO we got through the airport an met the guy that was taking us to the home stay that we're staying at, again feared for my life throughout the ride but it was funny!When Jay and I finally got back to our rooms we burst out laughing, possibly because of the sheer feeling of being drained but also just at the culture shock we felt already!so we decided just 2 have a few hours sleep to avoid any jet lag!

Woke up bout 11am an went out exploring, starting to get excited! Its not high time here for tourists so me and Jay are literelly the only white guys around so everyone is looking at us, not in a threatening way but just in curious way I think. An because we're the only tourists around, we're getting mobbed bout people trying to sell us stuff, and DAMN they're pushing and incredibly persistant, but i"ll come back to that!

We went to get some food at a resteraunt locally, I decided to get the Kerala Breakfast not knowing what the hell it was gonna be but screw it I thought, might aswell! It turned out to be really nice, a kind of vegetable curry with some indian bread, good stuff! so we went off again to the chinese fishing nets, this guy followed us for ages an kept asking us to come to this shop an look around to get him points or sumthina and after saying no a million times we admired his persistance and jus got in a his tuk tuk! he took us to one, then another and after 4 freaking shops we looked around we had enough of helping this guy out and demanded he took us to the fishing nets, so he did! we learned not to do that again and jus give a really firm NO! an keep walking till they piss off!

so finally we got to the fishing nets an got on they an helped them out on the nets an the guy took some really good pics of us doing that so hopefulyl be able to put those on here, that was rly gd! so we're going for dinner later and gonna have some beers...maybe many beers! 2moz we're gonna get a ferry to a nearby city which a bit more happening, till then!
