Leaving Hassan after our great day in Shravanabelagola our next destination was Mysore, a city where we have been before (here is our last blog of Mysore). We had an Ok place to stay last time in Mysore but this time we wanted to be a bit closer to town. That is why we ended up in the famous MB International Hotel. It was indeed close to town, just a 10 minutes walk away from the Central bus stand. We were welcomed very friendly - our room was small but looked clean and ok. About Srirangapattana I visit Srirangapattana when I go to Mysore from Bengaluru. This town in the Mandya district of the Indian state of Karnataka. It is located near the city of Mysore (19 km) and is of great religious, cultural and historic importance. The town of Srirangapattana, which derives its name from the lord Sri Ranganatha swamy temple. Sri Ranganatha swamy temple is a temple dedicated to the Hindu god Ranganatha , a manifestation of Vishnu and is one of the Pancharanga Kshetras .
