These were the 30 odd out-bound learning programmes (covering over 500 employees) that I conducted along with my favourite travel partners 'Foliage Outdoors' at Dandeli....
A little bit about the place, just in case you dont know....
Dandeli is a natural habitat for wildlife. Dandeli Jungle Safari in open jeeps into the Dandeli wildlife sanctuary accompanied by trained naturalists are the best way to view wildlife here. It is home to big cats such as tigers, leopards, and even black panthers, elephants, gaur, deer, antelopes, many kinds of reptiles and a rich variety of birds.
Those who enjoy adventure sports and the rush of adrenalin, Dandeli is the place to be. Water sports have always been the key attraction of this place. Kali River rafting, white water rafting in Kali river, kayaking and canoeing - such an elaborate arrangement will definitely fuel the passion of adventure sports in you. For the sheer excitement of rafting in the river Kali you will surely come to Dandeli again and again.
Another star attraction of the Dandeli wildlife is the Great Indian Hornbill and the Malabar Pied Hornbill in addition to the Indian wild Gaur (similar to a bison) and
the Malabar giant squirrel. Don’t be surprised if you see giant iguana or the great King Cobra in the dense forests surrounding Dandeli.
Listen to exotic birdsongs and feast on glorious sunsets dusk after dusk. You’ll want to stay for ever...
Our trip was typically filled with team-games, refting sessions, treasure hunts, coracle rides on the river, evening camp fires and a lot of experiential learning/ making friends and introspection.
We stayed at the Bison resort, by the river side. The best part was the floating jetty of the hotel on the Kali river. An ideal place for birding, watching flocks of Hornbills returning to their "dholi's " (tree hollows) by sunset and just feel the tranquility of the place....!!
An amazing experience !...and you musnt miss it.
