Hey all
As they tend to say over here...Yah Yah tell me! So...
I am getting a bit more settled into life here in Bangalore. There weather is getting wetter and a wee bit colder but still a low of 18’ so not really cold.
Work is going well and my students only have another 3weeks before the end of the term. They have been model making, designing, sketching and learning different drawing techniques, you can guess more from the pics!
I have been working on more of the marketing front and have been planning events and assisting with school presentations. I also started in some local Radio stuff. Some of the private schools out here are quite lavish and also quite hilarious architecture as you can see in the photos.
My apartment is getting sorted, slowly setting up a wee home there. I now have water after weeks, I have gas and I have also managed to get some lights fixed and the washing machine working. Considering things take sooo long here, that’s really not bad going.
We have been out and about finding new Malls, Bars and Restaurants too. The ‘local’ by my
office is a very posh roof top bar and we have managed a couple after work that. It also has a lovely restaurant which I’ll have to try and a rather odd white club with walls made of mirrors and cornices!
Apologies, I have written to a few of you but that’s was when I arrived here and I have only just managed to find a post office. Actually I found it but I am always working when it opens so I got the driver to post them. Hope they don’t take too long but basically I just wanted to say a big thank you to all who came to my leaving doo and gave lovely leaving pressies!! THANKS
OK, better get on as I need to start writing another history lecture.
Hope you’re all well
