View from the plane.
I took a trip to the Indian-controlled part of Kashmir, India earlier this year to snowboard in a town called Gulmarg to witness what is considered 'the last frontier of skiing/snowboarding'.
Gulmarg is in the Pir Panjal range, one of the six ranges which make up the himalayas. It boasts the highest gondola in the world that goes up to the height of 3980 meters providing us with 1330 vertical meters of terrain (Whistler/Blackcombe is planning to build another 'highest' one in 2008.) After returning, I have been working on a book about the trip featuring some of the photos here.
Will add more photos and story soon since I'm still navigating my way around this blog :)
