We decided to hire the bikes for an extra day and try Old Goa and Panaji again hoping this time we wouldn't get stopped. Once up and dressed we had some breakie and then ventured out. We didn't see one police man or car on the roads woohoo so made it to both places without a fine :D The drive to Old Goa was lovely, once we passed over the Mandovi Bridge (where we got stopped before and then headed back) we drove along the Mandovi River and them passed some quaint little villages before reaching Old Goa itself. We parked up and the had a walk around. We visited the Sé Cathedral, Church of St Francis of Assisi and then the Basilica of Bom Jesus where Goa's patron saint, St Francis Xavier is housed in a mausoleum at the far right hand side of the church in a glass coffin. While there we also visited a small bizarre art collection. We then got back on the bike and had a drive around Panjim and then headed back to the apartment. We stopped at colours restaurant on the way back and then went to Candolim to look for wifi but ended up eating a yummy ice cream from Baskin Robin instead lol.
