Enjoying the ride in the forest of Nallamalai, we reached Srisailam Guest House maintained by the Devasthanam by 2-00 p,m., crossing the Brdige across Patala Ganga Krishna River connecting Brahma Giri and Vishnu Giri. The Patala Gana, a very deep gorge, is formed between Brahma Giri, Vishnu Giri and Rudra Giri. Earlier it is the abode for Crocodiles. Before construction of the Dam, this area on Brahma Giri side is known as Lingala Gattu, where the Silas are known as Shiva Lingas which were taken and installed in several of the Shiva Temples in Andhra Pradesh and elsewhere. OLD COUPLES KASHI YATRA VIA KHAJURAHO (11). 16th October, 2007 - Wednesday. By 6 am we were ready and loaded our saman in the car by which time Shri G. Manohar came. We departed at 6-15 am along with G.Manohar who accompanied us upto the outskirts of Gaya. We slowly started our return journey. By 9 am we reached Barhi, a junction place for proceeding to Calcutta and to Hazaribagh. Actually we should have proceeded towards Calcutta to have the darshan of Dakshineswara Matha Kalika Devi. But it did not happen. We had our breakfast in Barhi and proceeded towards Hazari Bagh and Ranchi. Throughout our road journey in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jarkhand, Chattisgarh, and Orissa, we found the people are very co-operative and we never experienced any difficulty with them. OLD COUPLES KASHI YATRA VIA KHAJURAHO (9) 12th October, 2007 - Friday. After visiting the Rama Janma Bhoomi sthal, we returned to the room and had breakfast. As we have seen all important places in Ayodhya, we decided to make a move and proceed towards Gaya via Patna. On the way we wished to halt in Gorakhpur for night halt and visit the famous Gorakshanath temple. The Manager of Rampathi Niwas Dharmashala stated that there is a Dharmashala attached to the Gorakshanath temple which provides good accommodation. In fact the city is named Gorakhpur after the famous yogi Gorakshanath. Yogi Gorakshnath is the chief disciple of Yogi Matsyendranath who founded the Nath Sampradaya line of Saints. Dec 23: Patna, mely a thaimasszazs szempontjabol is lenyeges, hiszen itt szekeltek a Magadha kiralyok, ahol udvari orvos volt Dr Jivago, ma egy lepratelep. Az este 5 os vonat 7 korul indult el, tehat az alatt a 44 km alatt, amit Patnatol Varanasiig megtett, kesett 2 orat a vonat, szanalmas teljesitmeny a rendes Mumbai-Varanasi szinvonalhoz kepest. A palyaudvaron csoveztunk, aztan megjott a vonat, kb 8 szor annyi emberrel rajta, mint amennyi hely volt. Szerencsere a mienket evakualtak amint lattak kulfoldisegunket, hogy 4 farang jon a vonatra, de hat a kiabalas, vitatkozas, rossz hangulat nem szunt meg. Patna Bihar megye fovaraosa, aholmaig vannak kis incidensek a vonatokon, pl. egesz szerelveny kirablasa, ezert a vagonorseget sem viszik tulzasba, konkretan egy or sem volt a 25 vagonos vonaton. OLD COUPLES KASHI YATRA VIA KHAJURAHO (6) 4th October, 2007 - Thursday. Today we have again decided to perform Panchamrita Abhishekam to Lord Visweswara and to perform Kumkumapuja to Kasi Visaalakshi. Kasi Visaalakshi temple is one of the Ashtadasa Sakthi Peethams. We requested Shri Dayanidhi to help us perform Panchamrita Abhishekam to Lord Visweswara. If we engage the services of a local priest then only we can leisurely perform the Abhishekam or Pujas in the temples at Varanasi. Otherwise, we will be pushed out of the temple by the priests the moment we have darshan of the icon. They purposely do it for the purpose of earning more money from the pilgrims.
