Okay, here's what happened;
About a week ago we already filled up the hard drive on my computer with the laqrge amount of picutres and videos taken so far....we have only posted a small portion of the pics we've taken....when we get back and if you have the inclination and several hours, let us know and we'll be happy to show you them all ;)
Anyway, for the last week or so we haven't been able to upload any pictures onto the computer and they've just been slowly filling up our camera memory cards. So yesterday we set out on a mission in Hong Kong to find a cheap portable hard drive. After a bit of research, a couple of ferry rides, and lots of wandering through confusing, hectic, Hong-Kongy (can't think of a better way to describe it until I've had my coffee...this place just looks like Hong Kong....if you've ever watched old jackie Chan movies you know what I mean), we found a 250 gig external hard drive for half the price we'd have paid in Tokyo...not bad and fn adventure.
So now we're good to go on pictures. So here's a catch up from Beijing;
The Forbidden City, the Olympics Center, and Skating around on a frozen lake, as well as a few random moments.
I'll do some Hong Kong pictures later on, but it's a pretty incredible contrast in pictures from frozen lake to blue skies and palm trees...time to get going out into the sun again!

We also went from deep winter to near spring, but in just 1 hour tonight. At 5:00 the temperature was 30 degrees, and Andrea was slippin' on ice as she walked the puppy, Mariah (Parriah according to Mike). At 6:00 water was running off roofs, patios and driveways were bare and wet, and I opened the slider a bit to get some of the "warm" breeze in the house. I love this weather! I'm up for seeing every single picture you have taken. Maybe we can have a picture-viewing party! You will be sooooo pleased to re-meet your nieces. They are awesome, and regard both of you awesome as well. Happy wandering! Mom
Thank goodness for that "No Bugling" sign! Imagine the utter chaos if Bugling was allowed?! Phew! Thanks for sharing the fun updates on your adventure!
