Day 1 - HK

We arrived early this morning after our plane was delayed leaving Brisbane because of a Typhoon in HK. After a bit of a mix up and trying to break into the wrong room we finally managed to nod off after 24 hrs on the go.

Our morning started as all good holiday mornings should with a lovely fried breakfast with extra bacon and chocolate muffins :). We ventured out today to enjoy the sites of Kowloon. When we set out we did not intend to try and break the record for the most different streets walked in one day but we must have come close. HK is incredible we can't get over the number of sky scrapers although there are not as many people as Graham remembers from a previous visit - streets are fairly quite.

We went on a harbor tour tonight and had a lovely view of HK from the water Michelle was less than impressed with the rockiness of the boat when it was tied up the the quay but had forgotten about it 3 mins later.

Had a great dinner at the worlds largest floating restaurant - Jumbo - and the we were off to the Peak mid level viewing area to get some great views of the HK skyline.

Overall a great first day. Still a bit sureal that we are here. We are very thankful that we are from Qld as it is hot and humid here - had forgotten what sweat is.
