Ni Hao everyone,
Hope you are all doing well. i am sorry I haven't been posting regularly on this blog. The teacher study tour was super amazing but we were so busy that we had little time to write. I have been travelling with my TDSB student team now for the past six days, the first 4 in Beijing and the last two in Shenyang in the North East. We are now in Dalian also in the NE but South of Shenyang until next Wednesday. Part of my job as a supervisor of these students is to post a daily blog to their families. This is the link http://www.travelblog.org/Bloggers/TDSB-Chinese-Heritage-Summer-Camp/ to that blog. You can read the last 6 posts and see photos of myself and the team of supervisors, Wenjie, Rong, Ray and Steve who i have been working with. Our students are between the ages of 12-18 and they have been amazing travellers too!

I will continue to post from that link for the TDSB Chinese Heritage Summer Camp until I fly home on July 29th, so if you want to be added to that distribution, please email me at katywhitfield@hotmail.com and I will add you there.

Hope this message finds you all well. It has been quite an amazing and life-giving experience in China. The people I have been have been inspiring, the food delicious, the learning at times overwhelming but important and so many happy memories.

I would love to hear how you are all doing at home, send me a message if you get a chance.

I know I have not posted much about the rest of my trip after Nanjing, as I was also in Harbin, Beijing and then in Seoul Korea. Lots to share about that when I return.

Thinking of you all. Steve and Sue hope the delivery goes well of your new baby... can't wait to hear. To those of you who are also travelling be safe and to those staying put, I hope the summer is going well for you. See you in August.

Much love,
Katy

Hey everyone, I must admit I have the travel bug again but the travelling is slowing down just a little bit. After much travelling in Canada, Europe, Colombia, Grenada and Trinidad in the Caribbean I took a sabbatical from teaching to head off on a series of travel adventures to different parts of the world. My first stop-England, Wales, France and Monaco. My second trip from October to December I was in Asia and Southeast Asia-Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam and then south to New Zealand. In the spring I was in Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Germa... full info

Hi Katy! I was just heading out to the airport and thought I'd check my e-mail before I left. So good to hear from you. It sounds like just an unbelievable experience. Good for you. I'm off to PEI for a couple of weeks. I see that Jess is off to Vegas again! Looking forward to all of us getting together in August. Take care of yourself and we'll talk soon...

Hey "you crazy lady"! Just wanted to send you a note to tell you you are in our thoughts and we hope all the little moments that do not make themselves into the blog are inspirational and bring you cathartic joy. Hopefully Nanking has not been too emotionally draining. Take care and send lots of pics...
