Quick Update

Hi Friends -

I've not written in a bit because I have been all busy. Sean and I just moved house and have a big apartment near the West Lake. It has three bedrooms and an office, so if you are thinking of coming, we have a place for you. We also just got DSL and the neighbor has wireless, at least until he finds out we are using it too.

Secondly, I just heard that I will be on American TV, on the Outdoor Life Network. Back in June they came to Alaska and I guided them around in Arctic Village and the Arctic Refuge. They were shooting a story on the oil drilling controversy. The program is done and will air, I'm told, on OLN on December 11th at 7pm Eastern time. Not sure what role I play, but it'll probably be worth a few laughs. They've promised to send me a DVD so I can share the joy.

Let me leave you with this: Cycling around this town exercises my 'forgiveness' muscle. It seems that every hundred yards or so, someone cuts me off, stops in front of me, veers into my path or any number of other cycling infractions. There's no point in getting upset about it, because it's constant. I think I get the idea of how people live so closely together. Lots of forgiveness.
