nice to see a familiar face :)

Yesterday, Shirley--one of my highschool friends--arrived in Shanghai to start a 1-week tour around China!!!! It was so nice to see a familiar face and to catch up. 😊

I met up with Shirley near her hotel (which was rather far away...but now I can say I've been to the NE area of Shanghai---hehe). She walked on her own from her hotel to the closest subway station, which I think was very brave of her especially since this is her first time in China. Anyway, we ended up going to a korean restaurant. Their menu was huge...and as Shirley noted & recorded with her camera, there was a lot of meat on the menu. The food was pretty good and the prices were more than reasonable. The total bill was only 32 RMB (which is something like $4.50 CAD) and for dessert, they gave us a complimentary cream popsicle & a stick of Wrigley's gum (just in case we ate onions or something?)

Anyway, it was wonderful to see Shirley and I hope she's enjoying her time in China. 😊

Now I am even more excited to see the other friends and family that will be coming to Shanghai over the course of the next few months! YAY for visitors!!!
