Today, work consisted of touring. Love this job. After arriving at work at the usual 7 am, Director Ai and I hopped in his car and headed North along the border to do a little sight seeing. This guy fought in the 2nd Sino-Japanese War, Chinese Civil War, and was commander-in-chief of the People's Volunteer Army in the Korean War but suffered during the Cultural Revolution when he criticized Chairman Mao's communist policies in the Great Leap Forward. Sounds like a good guy.
