Getting it together at last...

Arriving in China
Our plane from Canada is in the background, we are standing on the bus which takes us to the airport terminal.

Before leaving Canada, Jean and I set up a website - everyone knew where to go to find information and photos. But when we arrived in China, we could only look at that site, not use it. So here we are, trying to finally get in touch with our family and friends - we want to share with you the world that we are discovering. I am hoping that this blog is easy to access (for you) and easy to use (for us). Let's give it a try and see what happens!!!

Now, you don't have to be a member of this site to view and respond to our blog. You just have to be able to type. Also, you can subscribe - meaning you don't have to check back all the time, you will simply get an email notifying you that we've added something of interest. Cool hey?

Our Building
We live on the 20th floor, on the opposite side of the building.

This is it! What you see is what you get (bathroom is to the right).

We (and by that I mean Jean) had to clean the floor with a steel wool scrubby - it's sparkly clean now!

This is one of the first places we went. It's one of the longest Walking Streets in China, shops from beginning to end.

Peace and Relaxation
We visited a tea house - one of the few places in China that is completely subdued and relaxed. What an amazing experience!
