Hi All, A short couple of train rides away from Shaoyang in Guizhou province lies the old town of Zhenyuan. Zhenyuan sits on the WuYang river and in ancient times was a prosperous trading city. From Hunan it's easy to catch a train from HuaiHua and it only takes a couple of hours. We had a bit of a nightmare with the hotel as we were turfed out at 9pm because the police had refused to allow a foreigner to stay there. We had to move to a more expensive one for one night and then moved again to another which had no problems with foreign visitors. Woke up to a quiet town and calm river after a loud night here in Zhenyuan. The town might be a quiet river getaway except that it is ringed by train tracks kept busy with frequent train traffic plus bars, many of them right across the river from me, that blare loud music until about midnight. Being the height of tourist season, many Chinese come here to play, not just for the sights. I'm off on a boat trip this morning, but not before stopping for some breakfast snacks. There's a popular bun and noodle place just down the street, where locals line up. I get two of the last few buns. Petite journée Zen Aujourd'hui. Ça fait du bien, question de se ressourcer un peu. Nous venons de revenir à l'hôtel et sommes environ une trentaine sur nos appareils électroniques à communiquer avec vous, regardez la première photo Début de journée par une visite d'un jardin typiquement Zen. De beaux paysages, de la musique douce, des bonzais à profusion. Une détente parfaite. Les jeunes étaient en contrôle de leur ying et de leur yang. Un bel équilibre entre le bien et le mal. Nous sommes en voie de découvrir notre balance intérieure. Dinsdag 27 februari. Na het vertrek van Ria en Pieter gisteren, zal het voor de gewone reporter weer even wennen worden om voor de verslagen te zorgen. Ria en Pieter hadden er vaak hun handen aan vol gehad: tekst schrijven op de psion, daarna verbeteren op de Vaio en ten slotte de gepaste foto’s uitzoeken. De meeste foto's in hun verslagen zijn trouwens ook van hen afkomstig. Op een langdurige reis is het reistempo heel wat gezapiger en is er regelmatig 'vrije tijd'. Aangezien Ria en Pieter de drie weken zo goed mogelijk wilden gebruiken om zoveel mogelijk te zien, moesten ze veel 's avonds afwerken.
