Yangshuo - 18.11.05

After 3 days and 2 nights of almost non-stop travel it was great to finally arrive in Yangshuo. We've been here a couple of days and have had a quick wander around the town and gone biking into the countryside. We have also changed hotels due to a duff tip from some other travellers - they raved about the Yangshuo Mountain Retreat so we thought we'd give it a try but it was way overpriced and the food was dreadful. Grr.

We've only got another day here before we set off for our next destination - about which I am very very excited!

Below are a couple of pictures of Yangshuo and the surrounding scenery.

Lots of love xxx

want a panda now please
Hi kate! Not sure if you got last meassage, may have written in it wrong entry??? Well, photos of pandas truly marvellous. now quite quite sure want panda ( the bigger the better i think in this case!!), but also rather partial to the smaller red pandas too, so both would be good. Saying that am not one to discriminate between animals either, so the (small) monkey would still be appreciated! Ok, so all in all please kate can you bring back yourself, a panda, and a red one, and a monkey. Oh, and a llama (what are they??) for jen! Ta! Oh, and stunning scenery by the way. Is fri afternnon. Brain can only function to comment on animals. Hope you are well. All missing you back here xxxxx

Best places
TravellingKate. This is so cool. You do realise though, that when you return the BBC will be knocking. They'll need a replacement for Michael Palin. As a fan of Palin I reckon you are doing a far better job!! I'm finding myself getting more and more jealous as I read your entries; you have been to the best places. Well done with the mountain climbing I read a few entries back. The views are stunning and its hard to believe people live their day to day lives in these environments, no more complaining from me. Looking forward to the next instalment.
