Just a minute's walk from the gorgeous and traditional alley of Beijing Major Street, you can begin to sense the history and tradition of the Beijing Old Town. The retired elders, basking and chatting under the sunshine; chirping birds, congregating under the gate tower; Pekinese, tied on the wire pole; rabbits, kept inside the cages; and also an old Hutong public toilet, which was built 30 years ago.
