School here is SO hard! I originally heard that we would study 4-6 hours/day, but it seems more like 8-9 hours=________________= That combined with 4 hours of intense, small classes. Yeah....I haven't really been talking with anyone. Nothing is wrong persay, I'm just so tired, that if I have extra time I wanna sleep. By the end of the day, I'm spent. I'm slowly getting used to being here. It really sucks though cuz I only can speak Chinese with other Americans (we're only allowed to speak Chinese=.=) and I don't really have any chances to meet anyone outside of the foreign students dorm.

I started classes this past Monday, but I already had tons of homework the weekend before (they put the homework assignments outside of our door). My roommate is okay. She's from the Chinatown in NYC, but she speaks a different dialect of Chinese. Her Mandarin is really bad, so when I speak to her, I have to use really simple vocabulary and sentence patterns. I don't know how this is supposed to help improve my Chinese. I don't feel that I've improved at all. In fact, when the teacher asks me questions, I get so nervous, cuz the classes are so intense, that my American accent becomes thicker and I end up talking really slow and they correct me constantly. I was talking with some other people in class and they said that I'll get used to it. Outside of class, I have no problems speaking though. I wish I was that relaxed in class=(

I want to upload pics, but the internet connection here is so slow, that it took me 10 minutes (I had to try 3 times before it actually worked!) just to change my profile pictures. I also joined gym nearby and did pilates for the first time a few days ago. It's really difficult to do the moves correcly and hold them for a longer period, but I like it cuz I know it's gonna make my abs rock solid! (keke)

Dudeface...I STILL do not have my glasses!! Listen to this: I emailed my mom really frustrated cuz obviously I'm having problems seeing and my eyes get really dry when I wear my contacts all the time. She said that I should be getting them soon. A couple days passed and still didn't hear anything. The day before yesterday,the director here told me that FedEx called her and apparently tried calling me and they couldn't find me to deliver it. She also told me that I have pay slightly more than $30 to get it. This is a load of shit cuz first of all, the manager at Sam's Club promised me that she would overnight it. Not only that, but she was supposed to pay for it!! I even confirmed this with her!! Today, I went to go see the director again and she told me to be her tomorrow afternoon cuz that's when they are gonna re-deliver my glasses. If I was in Texas, you better believe I would be calling her up and chewing her out for being incompetent and for having lazy employees. This really pisses me off cuz I ordered my glasses on 12/20 and it's been over a month and I still don't have them! Whatever....

I'm looking forward to this weekend cuz I wanna go out and get my groove on the dance floor. It's only been one week and everyone I've talked to is already ready for a break><

P.S. I permed my hair last week (燙大波浪卷）. Yay! *bounce*
