September 1-2

On the 1st I woke up and headed to Cafe Fresco, near Mason's apartment. They have yummy food and wifi. I stayed there for awhile then headed back to the apartment to meet up with Mason for pub quiz night. We got to Gym Bar and met Teal, Lauren (Mason's friend who lived in Brooklyn), and three guys she works with who we met the other night. We did very well in the quiz- we got third place, and were only 2 points from the winner!! So close!

On the 2nd I woke up and headed to Haha- while Cafe Fresco has a better food selection, nowhere can beat Haha for good internet access. In the evening I went to the supermarket and just made dinner. We watched some Weeds (great show- almost caught up- just one more season to watch now).

I'd been calling to see if I've made the waitlisted flights, but I've given up on that now. It's only four days now anyway. I might have to move to a hostel this weekend because Mason has some friends coming and won't have a couch open for me anymore. I'm going to try this ridiculously cheap hostel hear the Olympic Stadium. It's like $2.50 a night! I'm kind of over the party scene on Street 278 so I'm excited for a nice, quiet hostel in a different area for a couple of nights.

The job hunt continues- applied for a couple more jobs yesterday. My confidence is waning, but I know that something good will happen for me! I just need to be patient :-)

Tomorrow: Time to go to the Russian Market and buy some totally legal not at all pirated DVDs... :-D
