Anyways......................
I arrived in Phnom Penh, being greeted by a ungodly heat and humidity. Even though Its unbearably humid, It is absolutely beautiful here. After going thru the pretty intimidating visa process, I was picked up by Vy and her famiy. Father, Mother, 3 brothers, and Aunt. Very friendly family. I got settled into my Hotel, and went exploring.
At first the busy, chaotic city and be a little off putting, Tons of TukTuk drivers hollering and honking to get your business. motos and cyclos vooming around, cars, SUVS, and busses zig zagging thru the mess. Then theres the traffic.... HOLY CRAP!!!! its a free for all.. I almost soiled myself within the first 5 min of the TUK TUK to the market.
Wednesday we went and visited S-21 , the Khmer Rouge Prison, torture, and death camp. It amazed me that something like that actually happened during my lifetime. It was very sad to see what the animal in someone could do.
Yesterday we went to Vys hometown Province at Kampot Thom. Visited a very beauitful temple and went out to the rural area to the north and met her 99 year old grandmother. I wish I had my video camera there, she was a very sweet woman with alot of amazing stories.
I am in a internet cafe and tried to load some pictures and video of the trip so far, but it would help to have a computer that was made after 1980 HA HA so ill try again at a different cafe, If not ill post them when I get home.
