it always starts with a long flight.. 13 hours not tv and only two small bottle of water.. but managed to sleep most of it. didn't get up to much in KL apart from seeing the towers and the zoo/jungle in the city..
but soon we left.. 2am to be precise on our much nicer flight into Cambodia, once we got past the 15 customs desks and out of the air con its was beautiful. straight away I remembered why Ive chosen this place.
blue sky's and broken roads, 30-35 degrees every day.. dust and palm trees, squat toilets with bum hoses.
were paying about $3 dollars a night for our room, $1.50 for a meal and the best one $50 cents CENTS for a pint!!
we have been in siem reap about 5 days.. i think. so far we went to a floating village its on the ton le sap lake which is absolutely huge! you cant see the sides big and at the moment its swollen to 15 times its size as the Mekong river annually reverses.. there's crazy house built on stilts in which the locals live all the time.. mainly fishing but
also the have pigs and chickens all about ( in there own floating huts) we the got a smaller boat paddled by a very strong and very old lady with us three huge guys in the back.. it was great to float through the jungle which is submerged to about 4 meters! we even went for a swim in the lake after.
took our next trip to angkor wat which was as beautiful as ever, i wont bore your with the history but basicaly its built about 900 years ago and better then anything weve built since.
last night i stayed up with adam and we drank with some locals and ended up at a karoke bar at 7am singing celine dion.. its was better then you think.. mayube...
aiming to head to phnom phen next just hoping the same place are there as were before..
