Green RiceJillian was fascinated with her green rice
Hey Everyone!!
This is the first installment of my treacherous trip!!
So far I left Australia this morning (14th) at 1pm… only a few tears. *sniff, sniff*
Got onto my flight without too many hassles - Sat down and watched TV and ate food for six hours.
Then at around 7pm, we tried to get off the flight and into Brunei…. However Rose and I had a little problem when we realised they would let her through, but not me!! Argh!! I had to get a visa cause I’m Aussie, but since Rose is NZ she didn’t have to…. What’s with that?!?!? Anyways it’s all sorted now.
We eventually left the air conditioning of the airport and stood outside in the humidity. Found the dudes that were going to take us to Brunei Hotel, but had to wait for the usual oldies to come out before we could leave.
Arrived at our hotel after convincing a guy to travel in a different car so Rose and I didn’t get split up (now we owe him a drink apparently), got our room (thank God for air con) and hit the town of Brunei…. Walked around to see the sights that aren’t too far from our hotel, had some tea - I had this green rice stuff!! It looked funky… tasted nice though!! Hope I don’t get sick tomorrow!! Not much around here really, shops, some people walking about, very friendly people though! So far Rose and I have had a kiss blown to us, some dude confessed his love for us, millions of stares and we were shown the way back to the hotel by two cross dressers. VERY FUNNY!!
Now we’re back in the hotel and just realised we can pick up the wireless internet from our hotel room. Hehe.
Anyways, stay tuned for the next installment of the saga; 'The Adventures of Jilli and Rose!!'
