-197 days till Afghan national elections

I arrived here at Camp Clark on Christmas Eve. Clark is located in East Afghanistan beside Khost city. The Camp is small, but we have everything you really need, including a library, gymnasium, a basketball/volleyball court and a great chow hall. We have our own rooms and internet services. Right next to us is an ANA base, Camp Parsa.

The food is great, just like home, minus the mortar and rocket attacks.

The motor pool-because of recent KIA of fellow soldiers here at Clark, the new protocol allows us to leave only in Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles (MRAPs)

Great little base
I was also there for 9 months. Aug 08-Apr09. It was a great little base. SGT Dupont...may you rest in peace...you always brought a smile to the faces of those around you. To the medical team...Doc Mercado...you have the pimp hat now. Good people and a hell of a lot better than being on a ship out in the middle of the ocean. To George from KBR and the rest of the guys...keep your heads down and make it home safely.

First USAF on Clark
I was part of the first group of Airmen on Camp Clark. Aug 06 - Feb 07. There were about 80 people (including KBR) on the whole camp and we became a family. I will never forget and always cherish my time there. Glad to see the camp is growing. SSgt Barnes
