These are great, E&D. The photo of MacMurdo with the lights shining in the dark really conveys how desolate the place would be without power. And the penguin and seal photos show how amazing they are in their adaptation - especially that seal shot!
We had a record high yesterday of 99 degrees. That's a bit too warm for May...

Cat delivered to Water PlantThe other outdoor construction project this year is a major upgrade to the Water Plant. We are enlarging the building and installing two new CAT diesel electic generators.
Wedell SealA Wedell Seal wandered into town a couple weeks ago, spent a week with us and then wadddle away.
A good nightThe seal spent a day or so leaned up against a stop sign in town during a storm. After the storm ended he left town and was subsequently spotted at Scott Base.
AuroraA recent aurora over the McMurdo Ice Shelf. The red colors are too faint to be seen with the naked eye. The auroras appear pale green. Some people say auroras make noises that are audible on still nig
