Mambo!
I just typed up a very long entry for over an hour and the unreliable internet deleted it. Tarter sauce!
I'll just sum it up: This weekend I did some gardening at gohechi with two close friend from the maasai market, and we prepaired a lot of ground for planting. Today i brought the kids from uhurupeak to help me with the kids at the orphanage, and they were great. My article about gohechi was published in the arusha times, page 8, which is fabulous. I was going to buy school supplies for the kids today but all of the banks have mile long lines out of them, so maybe i can tomorrow. I'm going to paint the classrooms with pictures and create new learning signs for the walls, and paint a blackboard onto the wall. We are waiting for the water pipe coming to the orphanage to be prepaired before we can begin planting more vegetables.
I've put down money for chairs and desks to outfit one room, but we still need 9 mores desks, 18 dollars a peice, for the second room. if you would like to contribute then please direct the money to my usaa account and i will use it accordingly. my parents have access to my account and can help transfer money. Of course there are many other needs you can help contribute money towards. a long term goal ould be to purchase the property so we do not have to pay rent anymore. Peter also wants to begin raising chickens to feed the kids and make some money, so animals and food for them needs to be purchased.
Thanks for tuning in, sorry this wasn't such a beautiful entry, the one that got deleted was amazing, i jsut couldnt produce it again.
yours,
ariel
