Carrying WaterGetting water for beer brewing. Notice how I have the smallest container and am holding it with two hands - unfortunately not such a natural!
Beer PrepMe attempting to pound millet - fairly unsuccessfully, for the beer. At least everyone had a good laugh.
Local BreweryMaking beer - the local way. Finger millet cooked for a few days turns into a grey, sonewhat thick beer, it's actually pretty good, better than chibuku.
Eating...againProbably the fifth time I ate that day...everyone is really generous. This was dried squeaker fish - that's right, I'm eating fish now, really good
SunsetSunset in the bush - doesn't get much better than this. This was walking back from drinking local beer in the next village over, the most common past-time in Zambia
My GoatThis was my goat for two days - before we slaughtered it in the front yard. He had to walk two hours, ride in the trunk of a taxi, and spend a night tied to a table before being eaten...
