The first animal i saw in Kampala! opened my door to this! :)
On the 2nd day, we had to be up really early, for the game drive which began at 6 30! We picked up a packed breakfast and then got back into the minibus, which took us down to the Paraa ferry which took us over the Nile for the beggining of the drive, we got to the ferry just as the sun was rising above the river! On the far banks we could see a school of hippo's just wallowing in the water. The Vehicles all boarded the boat, and we all got on! the crossing took 5 minutes and once on the other side we all got back into the bus and began the drive! we drove for a few KM's through the bush, seeing only various species of antelope! after about 7 kms we had taken a route towards the Delta and saw out first elephant! a short while later we came across 2 lions lieing in the bush, a few moments later a Kob (type of antelope) ran infront of them, being chased by a larger male lion! which is when we drove off, only to see the male lion reappear from some long grass, and he was

limping badly! and we could see that one of his back legs had been taken down to the bone, which our guide told us had been caused by a poachers snair, which was meant to have caught an elephant! He told us that the lion would either have the leg amputated and be put in a zoo, or it would soon die!

We also saw a very large group of elephants cooling themselves and eating on the banks of the river, and a lone girrafe. plus varied species of birds that ranged in colour from bright blue and purple, to brown and red!!

After the 4 hour game drive we returned to the ferry and back the the Camp for lunch!

The rest of the day was spent on a cruise up the Nile to the base of the falls!
The 2 hour journey up to the falls was spent observing large groups of hippo's and many crocodiles! As well as more sightings of the different birds that live on the river/delta! we also saw more elephants!
Once we reached the base of the falls, we stopped for a while to allow people to step onto some

rocks in the middle of the river! Again at this time of the day the weather was extremely hot (35*C+)
We saw the place where Ernest Hemmingway crashed a plane! which is marked by a sign!
The boat then turned around and took about an hour to go back down to the dock!

After the cruise we again went back to the camp for the night! At about 6 30, it started to rain for about 15 minutes! nothing like ive seen before, very heavy rain, but still extremly hot, and pretty bright too! after the rain the sun went down and a full moon appeared! After a few beers we all went off to bed!
