Been to Paradise!

hey everyone, nearly home now! We're in Zanzibar and have spent the last cuople of days enjoying the sunshine and turquoise blue Indian Ocean which has been bliss!!! I was slighty worried that our paradisal end to our trip wasn't going to be quite so heavenly when it started to pour down the day we arrived but luckily the weather got better and we managed to do some swimming, snorkelling and lots of long walks on the beach!! The sea here is absolutely beautiful, from crystal clear to bursting with powder blue to smooth waves of aqua green. As soon as the sun hits in the early morning you just want to jump in - if not for the fear of alien sealife stuff. we went snorkelling the other day and saw loads of stuff...coral, sea urchins, angel fish, nemo fish, etc. and i even saw something at the corner of my eye floating around next to my hair. when i turned to see what it was it was a horrible large seethrough jellyfish so i desperately swam off looking like a bit of a loon with my oversized flippers flapping behind me. but thank god we didn't get stung or anything!

Other than that we've just been chlling - finally so nice to get off the truck but our gruop left yesterday and it was a bit sad saying bye. we've stopped camping and have enjoyed a few blissful days sleeping in beds, waking up at anytime (although normally it's still 6:30am) and going out for dinner! We're coming back tomorrow which is a bit sad because this place is beautiful and we don't want to leave (especdially as everyone is saying that england is snowing!) but hoefully we'll come back someday. (not looking forward to the horrible long journey tomorrow and slogging our bags back to the mainland, then on two different flights)!

Will be lovely seeing everyone again and flicking through our photos (nearly 2000!) o dear! i think when we see all the opics of the gorillas, lions, etc. it'll dawn on us more what an adventure thsi has been!
