Boxes of BiblesThe boxes of Bibles arrived, which were generously purchased by the Airport church of Christ, in South San Francisco
Sometimes it’s hard to put into words the thankfulness we feel for our good brethren. Such is the case with our dear brethren at the Airport church of Christ, in South San Francisco. Our family has been co-workers with this congregation since 1986. That was the year that George began his studies at the East Tennessee School of Preaching. The Airport church of Christ supported our family during this two year period of schooling. Upon graduation, George, Joy, and Julia moved to South San Francisco, and George began working side by side with Windell Fikes. Three of our children were born during our time spent with this congregation. In 1993, our family began working in Pacifica, CA, in order to establish a new congregation there. The Airport church of Christ continued our support the entire eight years in which we labored in Pacifica.
In 2001, our family decided to move to Iowa, in order to help a struggling congregation get back on its feet. The Airport congregation generously continued their support during our six years in Iowa. As you know, in April 2007 our family moved to Moshi, Tanzania. Once again, the Airport church of Christ stood behind us,
and decided to continue supporting our work.
A few weeks ago, we were informed that the Airport congregation decided to donate funds so that we could purchase Bibles, in the Swahili language. Many of the people with whom we have Bible studies do not even own a Bible. Yesterday, we received the boxes of Bibles, and in less than 24 hours, we have had the opportunity to give a Bible to some people who have been participating in Bible studies, but did not own their own copy of God’s Word.
Thank you, Airport church of Christ, for your continued generosity to the Jensen family, and to the Lord’s work.
In Christian Love,
George and Joy
