Diesmal ist um 8:30 Abfahrt. Es geht in den Arusha Nationalpark, welcher sich gleich um die Ecke von unserer Lodge befindet. Er ist wieder komplett anders als alle zuvor. Hier gibt es viel Wald und durch die Luftfeuchtigkeit wachsen auf den Bäumen Farne. Ein besonderer Baum steht auch in diesem Nationalpark: Ein Feigenbaum, bzw. zwei Feigenbäume welche sich gegenseitig umarmen. Elefanten sind immer wieder in der Mitte durchgegangen. So hat sich ein "Loch" gebildet. Dieses ist so groß dass sogar ein Auto durchpasst. Inzwischen sorgen auch Rangers dafür dass dieser Durchgang nicht zuwächst. Der Baum bzw. dieser Platz ist für die Menschen heilig. Sie gehen durch den Durchgang durch damit ihre Sorgen verschwinden. Dann steht eine Fuß-Safari am Programm. 19 juin 2014 : Nous nous levons à 08h00. Pas d'eau chaude car tout est en énergie solaire dans le camp et hier le ciel était couvert. Nous prenons notre petit déjeuner à 08h30, puis à 10h00, nous partons pour Arusha. Nous enregistrons et avons nos tickets à 14h15 pour un vol prévu à 15h25. Nous arrivons à Zanzibar à 16h30 avec 5 minutes d'avance, L'hôtel Al Minar a envoyé un taxi pour nous récupérer. Nous sommes à l'hôtel à 17h00 et retournons manger au 6south. Nous rentrons à l'hôtel et allons nous coucher. Nous regardons le match Uruguay-Angleterre. 20 juin 2014 : Nous nous levons à 07h00 et prenons une bonne douche chaude puis petit déjeuner. Gleich in der Früh um 7 Uhr fing für uns der Tag an. Frühstücken und ab geht es auf Entdeckungstour. Zunächst fahren wir in Moshi vorbei zum Endpunkt der Tour für die Leute die den Kilimanscharo besteigen. Viel gibt es da nicht zu sehen, aber Wilston erzähl uns einiges über die Besteigung. Wer schnell ist schafft alles insgesamt in 5 Tagen, aber auch die "normalen" 7 Tage sind schon recht flott in der Höhe. Leider sieht man den Kilimanscharo nicht. Es ist sehr neblig und bewölkt. Später treffen wir bei einer eine Auto mit einer Reifenpanne. Es stellt sich raus es sind die 6 deutschsprachigen auf die ein Guide vorher gewartet hat. Our last work week in Arusha was filled with surprises. School was the same, we shifted teachers around to cover the gaps, and I went back to helping everywhere. The children keep showing more and more affection as the get to know me. The one boy I work with one on one, no longer let's go of my hand during the break. But many other things came up. We got a new room mate, volunteer. I had to cancel my last time with the Masaai men, because of meetings with projects abroad, which disappointed me and I found out, them as well, since most showed up anyway. I get up early in the mornings and do my exercises before I ride with the driver to pick up the first set of students. It is a beautiful time of day. The sun has not yet come above the horizon so the light is gentle with pinks. The stars are just disappearing, there is a planet that is so bright it shines well into the day and sits on the crescent of the waning moon. When the wind picks up, the banana tree leaves rustle like water. There is a grove a banana trees next to us. From our enclosed yard we can see the top of Mount Meru.
