So it's all a bit unknown, yes i've been to Africa before but mainly in the North, briefly in the west but never so far south.

All i really know is what i've seen on the TV, and what people have told me, either way i'm really excited about it.

As it stands i have two definate destinations of Joberg, and Durban and anything else is a bonus.

I've been on the road (or in the air) since this morning at 7am and my journey to SA will last until tomorrow afternoon at 1625hrs!! bit of a mission but the ticket was a steal.
I'm not sure what the journey holds, but so far so good and the good folks at Emirates were really cool and let me check in way ahead of the scheduled check in time.

To elaborate really quickly i had to get down to London from Dewsbury and flying was the (at the time) most logical way to do it. Well that was until the flight landed and landed and landed a third time, actually that third time it actually stayed down!!

My good friend Andi Gove has hooked me up with somewhere to stay in joberg nd im crashing with him in Durban. I hope, i really do hope to get down to Cape Town however a lot depends on what happens in Durban.

I also hope to see my old buddy and room mate Alan from my days on the Thomson Spirit whilst im in Joberg.

If i manage to get down as far as Cape Town then there is the chance i may see Elaine, Scott and there new baby Dallas, Em Dold, and also Liezel all of which i met during my time on the Boudicca last year.

Its all very much up in the air beyond Durban at the moment so all i can say is watch this space......
