Since moving into the new house we've realised how much we've missed the internet!! So sorry for not keeping up to date with all the events and your lovely comments.

We moved in to the new house on Monday 07th. The volunteer house is gorgeous and our new roommate, Lara is fab!!! (She's special too!!) Up until Wednesday night, there were 6 of us in the house. Lizzie Hannah and Lara, and three volunteers who were staying in Muizenberg. We're very excited about the move, as our new accommodation is a huge improvement on the last...however, our new housemates are a little less enthusiastic and have been causing a few difficulties for Kat and Ali from i-to-i! We'll soon get everything sorted though!!! Kat & Ali had arranged a bonding evening for us that night, and Mike and his drums came along which was fun! (For the Four of us that attended!!!)

On Tuesday, we went to school in the morning and then went out for lunch at Mugg & Bean, which was great. We were joined by our new roommate Lara and our old roommates Catherine and Danny (from Chill & Surf) so had a nice grown-up

lunch. Then came the excitement of visiting a South African laundry for the first time! (We miss Mervin from Chill & Surf and his clothes washing!!! Long live Merve the Mighty!!) After that we got bits of shopping and tried to get to know our new housemates. Hannah spent hours cutting out passport photos for a collage that has been covered in glass and is now the top to our coffee table! It looks great! But imagine our surprise when half way through arranging the pictures, Hannah came across a photo of Simon that we both used to work with at home!!! Its definately a small old world!!!

Wednesday's school visit was interesting as we have collected another two students to read with. So now we stay an extra half an hour, but have reached our full quota of students! They all continue to make good progress and we are both very proud of them!!

After a few chores...including collecting our laundry (Hannah's lost 2 pairs of socks...so if anyone finds them...?!), we met up with Lara and took her on a coastal tour of some of our favourite places that we have found. I'm afraid this had

to include No 16 in Camps Bay! Coffee and brownies!!! mmmmmm! We sat on the beach in Llandudno for sunset, but it wasn't as spectacular as normal due to heavy cloud cover, unfortunately, so will have to return another day!

That evening was interesting...We had been invited by Mike the drumming guru to an open mike night at Fogeys in Muizenberg and decided to see how Djemba drumming ought to be done!! After our meal there the entertainment began and we all agreed that Mike's drumming was amazing, however, the original lyrics of his band's repetoire were eye-opening and we have a long way to go to reach his standard!!!

So that just about wraps it up for today. We have been to school already today but the afternoon awaits and we have plans...Danny and Catherine are coming round to try out the trampoline in our new abode. Tomorrow night we are meeting Cliff and Lisa from Help2Read for a catch up, and over the weekend we are off on an adventure with Kat from i-to-i along the Garden Route, so watch this space for more fabulous photos and exciting stories!!

We hope everything is well at
