Bungy!Jumper # 33...happens to be my fav number twice
Greetings from Knysna! I am enjoying my 10 day spring break. We split from the 51 Americans yesterday and everyone went there own way. Me and 4 girls got dropped off at a car rental place and picked up our extremely small chico. lol...it has been funny. out stuff does not fit. but anyway....last week with the whole AIFS group we did some fun things. We have been so busy, I haven't written anything down and am scared of forgetting what we've done! We went to an elephant park....ostrich farm where you could ride the ostriches, hiked in a beautiful nature reserve along the coast, stayed in log cabin type things for 2 nights, and a hostel literally ON the beach for 3 nights, went to some insanely CRAZY caves that we crawled through (one opening was only 27 CENTIMETERS!!!) and we had to crawl through it....they were insane, beautiful, huge caves.
hope you all are enjoying my run on sentences...i'm kind of in a hurry.....
anyway, we also did the highest bungy jump in the world! i bought the dvd so if anyone is interest they can watch it when i get home lol. i was just like singing
bungyready and waiting! no fear in my eyes!
and dancing to the music they have blaring up on the bridge....and then i kept reaching my head over to look all the way down! (everyone said not to do that before you jump) but then I just stare at the camera, smile, bend my knees and do a sick swan dive off the bridge. it was unlike anything else, can't really explain it. everything goes silent....and the ground is flying towards your face (it feels like) at 60 MPH. it is SO WEIRD! anyway...it was pretty rad and i would love to do it again. also, yesterday 7 of us went sky diving. we went in plettenberg bay (the most beautiful drop zone in the world haha ) and i got to see dolphins and whales from the sky. it was freakin SICK! i asked the guy hooked to me if we could do like flips out of the plane and stuff so we did. i kept telling him to spin and us and do the craziest things he could. it was awesome! 39 second free fall :) totally unbelievable. i think i am addicted and will have to start sky diving annually. lol it was soooooo amazing. not
scary at all though. just cool. like even when the door opened and it was all windy and i was staring down from a little over 10,000 feet....it wasnt scary i was just like, dude can we do a back flip or something? lol....i loved it.
anyway, we are driving up the coast now for a few days and i just had a quick chance to stop at an internet cafe so wanted to give a little update. i hope everyone is doing well and would love to hear from whoever reads this.
more bungytrying to peek over the edge...practicing my dive
more bungysmiling at the camera, big thumbs up, toes over the edge!
morestarting to go down fast....
againgetting into my superman position which i held the entire way down...not sure why.....
.....there it is....ha ha, there it is
