Renaissance in Africa... how will it come to pass? Thirty years ago a prophet prophesised about a BALL OF GLOWING FIRE landing on the tip of the African Continent and lighting other fires which would then spread like a bushfire across the african continent. That bushfire is the revival fires of the Holy Spirit as they spread throughout the african continent. The hows and the whys... I do not know.. But 2007 has been all about activating the faith of God. and 2008 will be about Gods completion...fulfilment.
I have spent my time visiting south africa and east africa. I wanted to touch the spiritual centres of two parts of africa that are enabling that revival to come to pass.
However, I now realise that beyond the dreams , beyond the visions ... we have the realities of this material world. Yes... money... but NO.... revival is all about the activation of the inner man to become a vessel of the Spirit of God... when God fills you with His Love ... you are IN revival ... but to STAY in revival you are going to need a little more than a one time experience... you are going to need a BAPTISM of FIRE... when believers are willing to walk away from everything... that is when we can say ... we are IN revival... when we are WILLING to undress ourselves completely and FOLLOW the master...JESUS.as isiah in the desert...we must bare ourselves naked before God...if we are going to expect more from God... this is what this caravan is and was about this year... activating your inner faith...africa's renaissance can only come through its spiritual leaders and believers... all else is pointless works...
a summarization of the east africa faith caravan
1. EAST AFRICA- A VAST - VERDANT -UNTAPPED LAND of GREAT potential and plenty... and great fools that steward it...! will this change? it certainly hasnt in the last 20 years... why should it now? But why be cynical? we should think positive and think progressively and TRY!even though we are ..........urinating(you cant say pi**ing) against the wind...
2. Poor roads( some worse than when I was last here in 1982-3) especially Kenya... corrupt cultures-
( everyone takes graft - everyone-its a way of life)..but VAST possibilities and AMAZING possibilities...
3. POSITIVE- friendly - non-agressive people enslaved with the spirit of " poverty mentalities"... this victimhood , this unconditional surrender to GREED and GRABBING,,, is unfortunately a trait of much and many of those that seek to lead the very people they have been mandated to govern... this can in NO way be part of the renaissance to come.
4. The question simply is this : do the PROS outweigh the CONS...THAT is all we need to ask...
a possible african scenario:
1. I see that eco-villages are the way forward to solve the problems of BAD governance and BAD infrastructures... and BAD health risks...I see these villages housing orphans and widows...the homeless and unemployed... I see these ecocentric villages as being the key to sustained revival and renaissnace in africa. THIS is the spirit of UBUNTU..and this is what we need to be putting our monies into...
2. the position one should place one self is in a place of emotional and spiritual strength with FULL local support. without this local support of the believers... the fires burn out...the challenges will destroy even the strongest ... loneliness is the worst enemy a man can have... we all need a friend to encourgae and uplift in the struggle of life...
3. so by positioning oneself in the right place you are able to dig your own spiritual well and be watered in the times of drought .... by other spitiual wells...of those that have come before... the well is the provider of the water....sometimes those wells get buried -or covered over... other times we need to be pioneers and dig our own well.
Conclusions:
1. The faith caravan in South Africa confirmed to me that positioning is everything. The point of contact between europe and africa is cape town... many wells were dug here over the last 400 years.
2. But the apostolic centre of southern africa is definately Kwazulu natal... but that will change soon as we usher in a NEW dispensation of Gods Spirit and anointing.
3. True faith comes from digging your own well. so far I see two possibilities for this. Arusha and Port St. Johns. Arusha - in east africa and port st. johns in the eastern cape or the transkei. But if you are to venture into the desert you need to carry enough water to sustain yourself whilst you are digging... and as I have found out ... its difficult. After visiting and travelling overland from cape town to johannesburg and from mombassa in kenya to dar es salaam and to mwanza across the serengeti... and to kampala and finally back to mombassa via nairobi... I feel this point of contatc is the vital issue.
4. I visited many ministries and spoke to many spiritual leaders ... and did some praying of my own... and God showed me two visions. The first was of jesus on the cross saying the last words; into thy hands i commend my spirit ... and i saw the sun setting over jerusalem and the holy spirit twirling around the cross with jesus body... and then a dove ... the second time - appeared again over the golgotha ...
the other vision was of jesus coming to john the baptist saying" baptise me john.".. and then john saying ... "I am not worthy to tie your latchets on your sandals let alone baptise you..." and jesus said... permit it at this time... then i saw jesus being baptised in my vision and the voice of the lord saying THIS IS is my son whom I am well pleased..!" and the dove ...I saw the dove again...
both visions showed me the nature...of God...is this... by the submission to man of jesus... He was glorified by God... and again on the cross ... jesus submitted himself to man by being baptised into death... so that he could be resurrected in LIFE...
AND THIS IS THE PATH OF THE BELIEVER. THIS IS THE PATH WE SHOULD FOLLOW.
amen, mission accomplished.
