Hello,
There's been a slight change in plans and i'm now heading back up to Pretoria a day early, so is this last blog i'll get to do from Mpumalanga and the Diggers Retreat.
I've spent the day supervising 4 guys cutting a line through the bush in preperation for the Geophysics they will do when they get the equipment back but the day ended early as it rained! It chucked it down last night but then cleared up this morning, but came back in the afternoon, felt like home :) so i've come back earlier to sort my stuff out and pack up.
I'm spending 2 nights at the B+B I spent my very first night in, and making preperations for Tanz. in the process. I'm flying out there with a guy called Robert Moss, who I was supposed to be working with down here. He's 21 too which is cool and we get on quite well so this flight shouldn't be so nerve racking. We're spending a little while near Lake Victoria (expect some good snaps!) doing so Magnetic surveys on some gold prospects and then i'm going on to the other field site in W Tanz. to help/learn on the Nickel project there. I'll be spending the remainder of my time, aside from a few days in Jo'burg before I leave, in Tanzania so I should have a nice tan! I've been warned that it gets pretty hot!
I've asked about expense/salary and it's all a bit up in the air, much like how the company is at the moment, but I will find out soon enough. I hope you like my profile picture, it took 8 minutes to upload!
I don't know when I'll next qet a chance to blog so feel free to leave comments as it will be nice to here from you all.
Love to all,
Joe.
ps. Get in! A photo online :) you'll have to make do untill I get a better connection i'm afraid.
pps. no my results are not online, it is very annoying. Do I have any post from the university? If so, feel free to open.

Good luck in Tanzania and hope the journey there goes well.
How hot will it be in Tanzania? I'm gonna have to find a map of Africa and pin point where you are!
Hello Hatman
Great sunrise pikkie! The other picture that appeared on your previous entry was of an impala(?) or gazelle of some sort but your comment referred to your lovely bakkie!
I'm investigating Afrikaans now but haven't got very far (Dag=Hello, as you probably know). What is the predominant language in Tanzania? Your book should tell you.
We haven't had any post but will communicate when/if we get anything. If you get the chance you could e-mail your Tutor to check on the arrangements (have you got his address with you?).
How long does/did the flight take to Tanzania and what sort of plane do you fly in (2 wings is always handy..). Remember to slosh that sunblock on or maybe there's a local mud recipe that could be used.
Right got to go - need to eat
Take care
