I thought I'd start my travel blog with a local story of a hectic travel experience. I got this wierd inner ear condition called BPPV. To be very short about it, it's basicallly a situation where the little calcium crystals in your ear that tell your brain which way gravity is, get dislodged and go travelling down to a place where they're not supposed to be. This causes dizzyness like you're going on a merry go round, everytime you turn your head. I really shouldn't have been driving but I had to go fetch some family from the airport and I'm really stubborn by nature. My cousin offered to do the pick up and my girlfriend said I should take her up on the offer but being as bull headed as I am, I decided to drive through to the airport as if I was fine. This was totally unnecessary and I should never have done it.
None the less, off I went to O.R Tambo international airport in Johannesburg. I must say, in hindsight it was incredibly stupid as I could barely keep track of where I was. It was a truly harrowing local travel experience which I don't recommend to anyone. f you're not able to drive, Don't drive! When I got there I had to let me my aunt drive back and drop me at home after she hadn't slept in nearly 24 hours. She said I should have let her know and she could have called an
Airport shuttle from O.R Tambo . The whole thing led to my car being arked at my Granns place. My aunt having to drive when she didn't need to and me driving like a drunk man on a really dangerous highway. What a day!
